I’m Christy. 

I’m originally from Pittsburgh.  This means two things: (1) I talk funny…and (2) I’m a Steeler fan. 

I’m 31 years old (it’s still hard for me to equate that number with my age - not that I had any particular problem with turning 30. I just have a hard time comprehending the fact that I graduated from college more than nine years ago!), and I recently moved down to live with my boyfriend in St. Petersburg, FL.  I’ve moved from the ‘Burgh of the north to the ‘Burg of the south.  And, let me tell you, they’re two completely different worlds.

The blog name has a couple of meanings.  At one point in time I started poking fun at my sister (I kid because I love!) because of her deep appreciation for spreadsheets.  I think it was during business school that her love affair with Excel really took off.  Don’t get me wrong, I can appreciate a good spreadsheet as much as the next person, but she color codes them when she’s doing Christmas lists. 

And, I’m not making that up. 

So, as a nod to her color-coded spreadsheets, I’ve created Color Coded Cupcakes.  I love to bake, and, truth be told, I’m every bit as likely to color code things as she is.  They don’t say OCD is hereditary for nothing.  Thanks, Mom!
